Women Celebrate Women’s Day by Being Useless Bitches

It would be a novel concept if women decided to celebrate International Women’s Day by remembering and respecting female virtues. Being extra caring to children, dressing up nicely for husbands and appreciating them without complaining about tiny things. Learning a new creative craft or a fun recipe. Buying some nice new decorations for the house in preparation for spring and Easter. Anything that recalls our true nature. March is a month of renewal and rebirth, a perfect time to clear out old frustrations and bad habits. How amazing would it be if we had a day where we celebrated femininity?  And when I say “celebrate”, I don’t mean going out and demanding attention just for being a woman, or posting duck-face selfies in sexy clothes on Instagram, I mean spending the day reconnecting with your loved ones and traditional female values.

A loving woman’s touch turns a dwelling into a home.

Am I insane to think that real female power comes from making our homes better and more orderly instead of demanding that the world give us everything while we wallow in self-pity? Is it wrong to say that one of the greatest strengths of women should be to love others more than themselves?

Loving people is hard, I know. Especially in this day of casual hook-ups. Building a home requires stability and dedication. Many reasonably argue why on earth should they take such a risk as to “love someone” and build a home with them, if that person could disappear at the first whisper of a struggle? Or just leave when they get bored? It’s like building a house on shaky foundations. You would have to be a fool not to have foreseen that the construction would collapse before its completion. Once again, I hesitate to bring God into this, but without faith and trust in Him, relationships lose their quality of the eternal. We distrust each other, and therefore focus entirely on ourselves, in superficial ways, to prevent potential hurt. I understand the pain of loving someone and losing them, the dire fear of falling in love again, but to turn away from society will not liberate anyone.

A poster for today that looks more like a call to join a war effort.

Sadly, we have to “celebrate” Women’s Day by gearing up for another massive attention-seeking charade, and this year we get a special event in sarcastic honor of Donald Trump’s election: a strike across the United States called #ADayWithoutAWoman.

Women are encouraged to celebrate by being as in-your-face and bitchy as possible. By pouting, screeching, demanding men to hoard upon them gifts, and never ever allowing criticism of their actions and words. Add in a strike where women refuse to be helpful at all. It seems the initial Women’s March on January 21th with the pink pussy hats and vagina costumes was not enough. The organizers of both of these events plan many more in the future — these two protests are actually part of a larger plot called 10 Actions / 100 Days where some new and annoying way to cause disruption is planned every 10 days for the first 100 days of Donald Trump’s presidency.

The aims of these protests are described in muddled, feel-good terms, but upon a few moments of critical thought, it is apparent that the core of these protestors want nothing more than to use gullible women to fight a cultural battle against traditional society for them. Yes, they are using women directly to fight against their own best interests, and doing so in a way that makes a mockery of female virtues.

I will be following the progression of the strike, and will write a more in-depth article about my opinion on all of this soon. Stay tuned, and in the meantime, have a wonderful Women’s Day.
